Dr. Lisa M. Weiss graduated from Pacific University College of Optometry and then completed a residency in Vision Therapy and Rehabilitation at the SUNY State College of Optometry in New York City. Dr. Weiss enjoys taking care of her patients with all of their eyecare needs including glasses, contact lenses, computer vision syndrome, myopia prevention, vision therapy, minor eye diseases, and laser co-management. She recommends that all patients beginning at 2 months of age receive routine eye and vision care every year. Dr. Weiss obtained her fellowship in the College of Optometrists in Vision Development and is proud to have reached this personal and professional goal in improving her treatment and care of vision therapy patients. She is also glaucoma certified which means better care for our patients. Outside of the office, Dr. Weiss spends time with her husband Justin and daughter Myla, as well as their two cats: Jake and Moseby. Hobbies include stained glass, tap dancing, snowboarding, and knitting.
Dawn, Vision Therapist
Dawn is our vision therapist who enjoys working with children and adults of all ages to develop their visual skills. Patients can learn to be more sucessful at school, work, as well as socially. We can help our patients who suffer with visual perceptual difficulties, "lazy eye", or "crossed eyes" without the need for surgery.
Erika, American Board Optician Certified
Erika is the optical manager and your frame stylist. She will help you find the right frame for you. She will make sure that your lenses are ordered promptly from the lab, return to the office perfectly and on time. She fits and adjusts frames for complete comfort for our patients. In addition, Erika works closly with our patients to ensure every one is completly satisfied with their glasses or contacts.
Melina, Patient Care Coordinator
Melina is the pleasant voice that answers our phones. She screens and forwards calls to appropriate staff, provides information, takes messages and schedules appointments. She also greets people who enter our establishment, determines the nature and purpose of visit, and directs or escorts them to specific destinations. In addition Melina, performs administrative support tasks such as maintaining records, receiving payments and records receipts for services.
Dr. Marcelline Ciufrreda, O.D., F.A.A.O.
Dr. Ciuffreda graduated from The New England College of Optometry in 2004. Upon graduation, she received the distinguished honor of being named class valedictorian and also received the Clinical Excellence Award for her class. Dr. Ciuffreda went on to complete a residency in Vision Therapy and Rehabilitation at the SUNY State College of Optometry. This residency has provided her with vast experience in the diagnosis and treatment of visual skills and perceptual dysfunctions, as well as in the rehabilitation and management of patients with traumatic brain injuries. At the conclusion of the program, she was presented with the Dr. Martin H. Birnbaum Memorial Award for excellence in Behavioral Optometry.
Dr. Ciuffreda is a member of the College of Optometrists in Vision Development, the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology, the American Optometric Association, and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry. She has published and presented several scientific and clinical papers, and has also lectured at international meetings and local optometric education programs.
